To ensure that your home theater contains a potent speaker arrangement, KEF has designed a comprehensive line of THX certified speakers. These in-wall models are intended for a custom home theater, and they blend seamlessly into a room without sacrificing on audio quality. Certified to THX ULTRA2 standards, the THX line of Ci speakers deliver the same rich response of floorstanding systems, but with a thin frame that sits flush in your wall.
Even the thinnest KEF speakers boast an advanced bass driver, and in-wall models like the Ci3160RLb-THX have three 6.5” LF units for a pleasing punch. These high-output drivers create a full-bodied bass response that matches the intensity and sonic quality of a modern movie theater. Mounted to a brushed aluminum baffle, this in-wall subwoofer is built to showcase stunning audio in a sleek metal package.
While some hi-fi speakers may rely on exaggerated bass weight to make up for the remaining frequency spectrum, our THX certified speakers are designed to reproduce flawless dynamics. The Ci3160RL-THX and Ci5160RL-THX fill mid-range and treble frequencies with aplomb, and they blend harmoniously in any room. With two 6.5” LF drivers, the Ci3160RL-THX has the impressive output of a floorstanding speaker, and audio sophistication that befits the THX name. On a larger scale, the Ci5160RL-THX adds two more 6.5” woofers for full theater power. Both feature a 6.5” Uni-Q array — an aluminum MF driver with a domed tweeter at the center, which creates a single point source for the cone’s frequencies.
Finally, at the leading edge of home theater sound, the Ci200RR-THX meets THX’s demanding ULTRA2 standard for hi-fi audio. The in-ceiling speaker’s massive woofer magnet, Z-flex surround, and aluminum tweeter (with tangerine waveguide) make for a truly formidable package.
