Unlike typical active computer speaker designs, each X300A speaker has twin Class AB audiophile grade amplifiers--one for HF and one for LF/MF. This configuration results in a much cleaner sound and greater control at higher levels. In line with the best pro audio powered monitors currently on the market, KEF's X300A speakers also feature high performance toroidal transformers that minimise hum and electromagnetic interference.
Bypassing the internal DAC of the source device and using the audiophile grade DAC in each speaker, as well as digital inputs and inter-speaker connections, the X300A offers lossless high resolution sound from source to output.
To get the very best from the four Class AB amplifiers, the X300A uses the award-winning Uni-Q driver design adapted from KEF's flagship Blade speaker.
Setting up and configuring your X300A couldn't be easier. With a simple 'plug and play' design and minimal controls, the X300A offers a highly flexible and versatile solution for today's digital audio enthusiast.
